The question is — is importing a MIDI file to “play note” blocks even a useful thing to do? Unless it's a very simple MIDI file with only one note playing at a time, I don't see how it's going to be any better than any other way ... Witryna22 kwi 2010 · MIDI has as simplistic or as complex audio as the units it communicates with. it's not really even an audio format per se, just instructions sent to a device that produces audio. as for why famitracker will never support MIDI import well, it's nothing to do with MIDI creators being lazy and not removing superfluous sound channels. …

It seems that you can import MIDI with FamiTracker, however, it seems that it needs to be an older version and it's rather buggy. For context, I'm co-writing music for a game being made in NESmaker, which I believe only uses FamiTracker.
