Depending on which side of the turbo (exhaust or compressor) oil seal begins to leak, the symptoms are different. Exhaust side seal leaking means the lost oil goes out the exhaust. If the leak is small you may not notice it much.

WebAug 30, 2005 · I'm assuming we are looking for a fix to the root cause which is oil in the intake from a pvc with no external vent, not the effect which is oil leaking from the EGR or intercooler pipe connection. There is a TSB (PIP3068A) for the intercooler pipe connection leak but all that does is to tighten up the connection so the oil doesn't get out. WebNov 15, 2009 · As for the Intercooler pipes, could just be that you've finally been pushing the truck hard enough to break some of that crud loose, or you could have a leak in the turbo housing somewhere that is weeping oil into the intake. Take yer EGR plate out, clean it...then make sure you re-torque the bolts properly. inchpropertymanagement.com
